How to Order Hello gardeners...please read this page before you order! How do I get your plants? You have three options! 2) Browse our retail collection at our markets during late February into May (visit our Facebook page for updates). 3) Get plants shipped to you (from late February to May). When can I order? Our 2013 Spring Plant Catalog is open from mid-January until depleted. When should I order? Order early for the best selection from our Catalog! Many varieties sell out by late winter. If ordering at the last minute, note that we must receive your order by 6 p.m. the eve prior to your pickup/shipping day. If you miss this deadline, we will do our best to accommodate you. How do I select a Pickup/Shipping Week? Select a Pickup/Shipping Week for each plant that is close to your planting date (don't let your plants hang out in their pots for too long). More details about how this works can be found on the Plant Pickup and Shipping pages. How do I pay? If you are ordering online, you may pay securely with a credit card via Google Wallet. At checkout, just log in to Google to pay. If you don't have a Google account, checkout will ask you to create one. It's free, it's easy, and you may get addicted to Google (don't say we didn't warn you). What is the minimum order? For pickup at our markets, the minimum order is one plant. If you are having plants shipped, the minimum is twelve plants. Will I get exactly the varieties that I order? Usually. We update our Web site inventory about once a week, and strive for accuracy. We offer dozens of varieties, each with inventory staggered over several months per season. That's hundreds of variables (456 to be exact!), a very tricky feat for inventory control. Additionally, Mother Nature can be capricious. The global weirding of our climate may shift our local patterns, delaying or accelerating the growth of our starts. Such is the life of a gardener, and occasionally we will have to make substitutions. If you are concerned about this, please contact us with your fervent desires, and we'll do our best to comply. If picking up plants locally, of course you may choose alternates from our market inventory. If this isn't enough certainty for you, consider growing your own plants from seed. It's fun. Why don't you list the variety that I want, for the date range that I want? We probably sold out! We plant from 50 to 500 seeds of each variety each season, and many sell out quickly. We'd restock on a whim, but each plant takes 6 weeks or more to reach optimal size for market. Order early for the best selection! I changed my mind. Can I get a refund? Please be certain of your selections (and double check the Pickup/Shipping Week of each item in your cart) before placing your order. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and will accept cancellations within 7 days of your order date. When you place your order, we reserve and tend a seedling just for you. After 7 days, we cannot issue a refund. My dog ate my plants. Can I get a refund? Uh...no. Please thoroughly inspect your plants at the time of pickup/delivery. If you find that a plant is damaged, we will provide a replacement (or if we have none of the same variety, we will offer you a refund) on the spot. Due to many factors affecting your plants’ health after they leave our care, including everything from the journey to your garden, to transplanting, to your soil conditions, gardening methods, the weather, and your dog, we cannot issue refunds. You are responsible for their well-being from this point forward! Oh...tomato plants are poisonous, so tell Fido to steer clear. What if I change my contact information? Let us know! If we must postpone or cancel our attendance at a market or event or delay shipment, we will contact you. Add our email address to your contacts so that we don’t land in your spam folder. Our addy is heirloomsX@Xaravaipa.com (remove the Xs). Please continue to our Plant Pickup and Shipping pages before placing your order. Thank you! |
